You can send a ServiceTitan automation to your residential customers only, or to your commercial customers only. Use the Customer Type filter.
Add the filter
Open the automation, or create a new ServiceTitan automation.
Go to the audience step, where you choose the filters.
Add the Customer Type filter. It is in the Customer group.
Pick an operator:
Equals or Not Equals to pick one type.
In or Not In to pick more than one type.
Pick Residential, Commercial, or both.
Select Calculate Preview to see how many customers match.
The list of types comes from your own ServiceTitan data. It shows the types your customers have.
What to know
A customer with no type in ServiceTitan does not match the filter.
You can use Customer Type together with your other filters, such as job status or business unit.
The type is the one set on the customer record in ServiceTitan. To change a customer's type, change it in ServiceTitan. The new type reaches LettrLabs with the next sync.
Before this filter, some teams matched the words "residential" or "commercial" inside a business unit or a job type name. Those filters still work. Customer Type is more exact, because it reads the customer record.
