Housecall Pro has a genuine native webhook feature as part of its Public API, separate from Zapier — though it's restricted to accounts on the MAX plan.
Before you start
A LettrLabs Open API key and an inbound webhook connection (see Setup Guide: Open API & Webhooks).
A Housecall Pro account on the MAX plan — webhooks aren't available on lower tiers.
A technical contact on hand, since Housecall Pro recommends developer involvement for this setup.
Step 1: Create your LettrLabs webhook connection
In LettrLabs, go to Automations > Open API to generate an Open API key.
Go to Active Webhooks > Data Streams (Inbound) > Create, name the connection (e.g., "Housecall Pro"), and copy the Webhook URL.
Turn on OpenAPI Key authentication.
Step 2: Enable webhooks in Housecall Pro
In Housecall Pro, find the webhook settings under your account/API settings.
Enter your LettrLabs Webhook URL and save.
Housecall Pro will return a signing secret — since Housecall Pro issues its own secret rather than accepting one you supply, and LettrLabs' OpenAPI Key authentication (from Step 1) already handles verification on our end, you can leave Housecall Pro's own HMAC signature unused for this integration.
Select which webhook events to enable — job.completed or similar is the relevant one for a job-completion mailing.
Step 3: Test and confirm receipt
Trigger a real or test event in Housecall Pro and check the History tab on your LettrLabs webhook connection.
Step 4: Wire the connection to a mailing and map fields
Open the Automation (Integration Order) or Radius Mail setup, select the Housecall Pro connection, choose the action, and map fields from the test payload.
Step 5: Go live
Save the webhook connection with a name and confirm webhooks are active in Housecall Pro.
